Enduro - 650B - Carbon Frame - Trek Remedy 2016

                                                                     "We need hope."

Introduction :

News in the world are bad , unfortunately. In devastation, someone said to the TV a simple sentence, that (to me at least) sum up the statement of the world now : "We need hope". Sad, isn't it ?
It may not mean anything (and especially, may not DO anything), but I made a Hope bike after that. So here it is !
The Remedy, from Trek claims to be one of the most polyvalent enduro bike, and I guess that this is why I choosed it for this new setup.
150mm of travel front and rear, Boost 110/148 wheel standard, a "knock Block unit" that weirdly reminds me Canyon's IPU and still the Trek's own OCLV carbon fiber technology for a bike that makes the "mountain seems a whole lot smaller" and a bunch of fun, does it makes you happy ?

Suspension :

The default shock was (to me) not strong enougth to be able to ride anything without using the brakes. This is why first thing I've done was replacing it by the stronger X2 : more settings, more resistance, more FUN !
Front fork ? A fox, once again, with the Float36 FIT4 one its TALAS version.
Why ? Because it has Kashima coating, and because Kashima coating is F*CKING BADASS !!!
And also because the frame is orange. therefore, the Kashima will match with the decals on the frame...

Transmission :

No cheap things on transmission side with a "Shimano XTR DI2" rear derailleur (equiped with orange Hope pulleys) and shifters (obviously), a "Yaban SLA 110 TI" chain and a "Hope pro 4" 11 speed cassette.
The chain will be hold in place by a Hope "Slick" chainguide and will roll around a Hope direct mount chainring (32t).
Finally, cranckset will also be from Hope with a wonderful orange color.

The bottom bracket bearings were a problem that you should take in consideration if you want to build this setup or even just build a Trek : Trek doesn't know about BB92 basic pressfit shells, but they know about their own standard : the BB95. Because of that, you won't find many bearings to fit in that 3mm bigger shell which (lets be honest) won't make any difference in your riding experience...

Drive Train :

Who says "Hope" bike says "Hope" orange hubs ! And why not also "Hope" rims ? Here we go wheelset : done :D
Tyres are from "Michelin" with the "Wild Rock'R²" 27.5x2.35.

Brakes :

Again, if you do a "Hope" bike, you can't use any other brake than the legendary "Hope" brakes...
In this case, it will be the (orange) "Pro 3 E4" : 4 piston per caliper for maximum stopping power !
They will pinch the wonderful "Hope" floating rotors.

They are already good looking by default, but i was thinking about a part mixing  to build a custom lever like this one :

Other peripherics :

When the adjustable seatpost market started to grow up (especially with Rockshox's Reverb), Fox tried to make its own one, called the "Transfer".
Unfortunately, it was a commercial failure : other brands were doing better, and the transfer was not really reliable, which made that we allmost never saw it on any bikes.
After a few years, Fox comes back with the brand new Transfer which seems way bteer, and able to compete with a rich variety of brands (Magura, Rockshox, Thomson, Crankbrothers and of course KS).
It (of course) is available with a Kashima coating which matches perfectly with my orange theme...

The saddle will be a Fizik Toundra M3 LTD with carbon rails, while the seatclamp will be from Hope (litle details are the most important !).
Speaking about Hope, the brand will also provide the stem and the pedals. Finally, the bars will be from Easton with the Haven carbon (20mm rise, 750mm wide) and the grips will be from Acros with the A-grip R1.

Conclusion :

Well, the least thing we can say is that I've been late to post that bike ! Im sorry about that, a lot of events made me late, but here's the bike, and what a bike ! 13.4KG for 8400€. Hope requires ressources...

Preview :

As promised, here is a better montage than the Spartan. It is still perfectible, but im getting the hang out of it !
