DH - 650B - Carbon Frame - Canyon Sender CF 2016

I told you : you will see Canyon quite often on my articles. So here is the second one. Around a mounth ago, canyon presented their new DH frame, which, I guess, is meant to replace in the future the Torque frameset.
The Sender's geometry was, acording to the brand, inspired of the motocross bike suspension systems, which allows a 3-time suspension behavior : First third of the travel will be reactive, second third will be rather stable, and the last third will be much more progressive...  If you want to read more about that Sender frame, check the Canyon PDF about their new bike ! It also has fully internal cable rooting wich is made with foam, to reduce the noises while riding and includes a lot of protections for the frame (such as bent stays to reduce chain slaps) and even a clever integrated rear mud guard to protect the rear shock.
The frameset comes with a Fox factory float X2 elite rear shock, an Acros AZX-227 headset and the Canyon Sender intergrated seatclamp.
This pormises a quite good bike, so lets cotomize it a bit !
As allways, I'll start with the fork, which had to be a Fox Float Float 40 Factory RC2, to match with the rear chock (even if we dont see it much, as it is stuck on the linkages, which is not that bad, it'll make extra protections), and also for that wonderfull Kashima coating <3.
For the transmission, I took a full Sram X01 DH groupset (rear mech, shifters, cassette and chainrings). Chain is a KMC X8 7 speeds, botom bracket is a Truvativ GXP team, cables are some shimano (with PTFE pre-lube and yellow wires, you'll see why later ;) ). Finally, I took an E-thirteen LG1+ chain guide, which is definitely an inevitable accesory for a DH bike !
For the driveside, I choosed a pair of Mavic Deemax Ultimate 650B (yes ! so Enve tooday :D), and a set of two Maxxis minion DHF 2.50 tubetype tyres.
Indeed, i felt like that color and these small things writen on them were such good looking, and wheight is not such a big thing for a DH bike, this is why I allwed them to go on my bike !
Since they had been realesed, Sram Guide brakes guickly showed to the World of MTB who were the Big Boss : even XC are using them while they are made for a DH /FR (we saw a lot of them during the last Redbull Rampages as exemple) use : wheight, power, everything is good with these brakes, and you guessed it (yes you did, dont lie !) you will find them on my Sender (with the Ultimate version), matched with a pair of 203mm Galfer Wave 6 rotors and Galfer Pro Sram pads.

As allways, we'll finish with the perpherics : Thomson Elite 30.9mm seatpost, SDG circuit sadle, 10° Renthal Integra II stem, yellow Spank Spike 800 race team edit handlebars, with a 30mm rise, and some yellow Chromag Basis lock on grips. Oh and if you want to be able to ride that machine, you might need some pedals : i'd advise some Mallet DH race from Crank Brothers !
To conclude, you will have a 17.2KG Dh bike (quite heavy, i wanted lighter but that will do the work anyway) for the modest amount of 7445€ !
Even if it is a bit heavy, im pretty sure that it will follow you anywhere, even the Redbull Rampages, this just a matter of pilot ! Who knows, you have 6 month to train...
