What's up ? - Shimano XT 1x14 ?

Hey guys !
Today not a bike, but some awesome news with the Shimano transimission world !
As you probably know, Sram recently released their brand new XX1 and XO1 1x12 groupset under the name Eagle, and with and awesome 10-50 cassette. At this moment, they said that they were able to have the same ratio (500%) as a "basic" (understand : Shimano) 2x10 groupset...
Well, it seems that Shimano did not really appreciate the Sram attack. Indeed, during the Sea Otter Classic festival they released the XT DI2 groupset. That is a fact. But  there is something else.
/!\ This is a rumor, and has never been confirmed /!\  It seems that Shimano has be working on a 1x......14. Yes, 14. A 14 cog cassette which would allow us to have a 540% ratio, with 10-54t.

Real or prank ? That is the question. Indeed, nothing is less sure that this information (exept maybe a small wooden bridge on top of a deep canyon made with old small cord....). I found a website (which seems serious) talking about that, but if you search on the internet, you will find some peoples talking about an april 1st joke, or a fake...
So let me know what you think here. Look at this photo and tell me : is that a real photo, or is it a thank-you-photoshop thing ?
